Digital Radiographs
Digital radiographs are the latest technology to take dental X-rays. This technique uses an electronic sensor (instead of an X-ray film) that captures and stores the digital image on a computer. This image can be instantly viewed and enlarged in order to help us detect problems easier. Digital X-ray can reduce radiation by 80 to 90 percent compared to the already low exposure of traditional dental X-rays.
Dental X-ray is an essential, preventative, diagnostic tool that provides valuable information not visible during a regular dental exam. We are able to use this information to safely and accurately detect hidden dental abnormalities and complete an accurate treatment plan. Without X-rays, problem areas could go undetected.
Dental X-rays may reveal:
- Decay between the teeth
- Bone loss
- Abscesses or cysts
- Poor tooth and root positions
- Developmental abnormalities
- Tumors
- Nerve infections
Teeth Whitening
There are many products and techniques available for patients who want to achieve a whiter smile. With so many options available, it is best to schedule an appointment with a doctor and talk about available options such as in-office professional whitening, at-home treatments and other whitening products.
At home whitening utilizes professional strength products with custom-fitted trays made in our office that fit perfectly over your teeth. This process whitens your natural teeth and may contain ingredients intended to provide maximum comfort. At-home professional whitening generally takes 10-14 days, although you may notice results in as fast as three to five days.
The other option is commonly referred to as “In-office” professional whitening which uses a curing light to enhance the effectiveness of the whitening gel by accelerating the material. This procedure can take up to an hour and is done in the office.

Nitrous Oxide Analgesia
Sometimes patients are more anxious before or during dental treatment and require more support than a gentle, caring touch to feel comfortable.
Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is a safe and effective sedative agent that provides analgesia and alleviates anxiety as well as helps with a strong-gag reflex.
Invisalign
Our offices offer Invisalign® as a great alternative for our patients who are searching for a more discreet orthodontic treatment option. Rather than using metal brackets and wires like traditional braces, the Invisalign system uses a series of custom-made, computer-generated plastic aligners to straighten your smile. As you switch sets of aligners about every two weeks, your teeth will be gradually and gently guided to their proper positions. You will also visit our office on a regular basis during treatment to make certain that your smile is progressing as planned.
Invisalign can be used to treat the same orthodontic issues that are normally treated with traditional braces. Our orthodontist may recommend Invisalign to correct:
